Umpires are responsible for adjudicating each game by making pitch-by-pitch decisions of each play. Courses are held sporadically throughout the year via Baseball Queensland, so please leave your contact details below for more information and future updates.
What does the role involve?
Umpire responsibilities are dictated based on the specific umpiring role they play in each game.

Hosting the pre-game meeting between all umpires and coaches - distributing any new and specific information relating to the game.

Making pitch-by-pitch judgment decisions within each game.

Communicating with game day Coaches on questions and disputed calls.

Holding coaches, players and spectators accountable to the SCBA Code of Conduct, and ejecting persons from the field, if necessary.

Being a part of a chat group (typically Messenger or WhatsApp) with other umpires in your league.
